NGO Digital Capacity Building Programme 2019

This pilot programme is designed to help Geneva-based NGOs gain practical knowledge needed for effective digital strategies and for use of latest digital tools and platforms, as well as understand the relevance of digital policies to their everyday work. The programme will provide a special focus on the importance of data policies and management, as well as an overview of cybersecurity issues.

The workshops are organised by the International Geneva welcome Centre (CAGI) in collaboration with DiploFoundation and the Geneva Internet Platform (GIP).

WHAT and WHEN

The NGO digital capacity building programme will comprise three workshops where different IT-related topics are presented and discussed with experts.

The schedule for the workshops is the following:

Your Digital Strategy: Friday, 29th March 2019

Your Digital Governance: Friday, 3rd May 2019

Cybersecurity: Friday, 10th May 2019

WHO

The programme will benefit management teams of Geneva-based NGOs, who aim at gaining insights into digital capacity and digital strategy with regards to data management, data policy and cybersecurity.

HOW DOES THE PROGRAMME WORK

Participants are strongly invited to attend all three workshops. For the second and third workshops, precedence will be given to those participants who have attended the first workshop.

Each workshop will last three hours, from 11:00 until 14:00 (CET). Light lunch will be provided.

Each course will be delivered to a group of up to 50 people.
